Mining is an age-old industry that has propelled human progress and development. Despite India‟s economic prowess richness in minerals, its mines are plagued with inefficiency lack modern technology. In countries well-developed mining industries, automation proven to be a beneficial Incorporating technologies into Indian challenging task due many factors unique the country. This study establishes benefits of by discussing Australian industry. A clear insight socio-cultural challenges faced while modernizing industry, focusing on automation, presented using interpretive approach, relying mainly qualitative data existing texts. The conveys significance these obstacles proposes new government bodies schemes overcome them. Finally, further work this less discussed topic motivated mentioning areas for future consideration.
